One of a Kind Forms
Instructor: Peter Callas
Peter Callas is an internationally renowned ceramic artist, who introduced the first Woodfire Anagama kiln in the USA thirty years ago. This two-day, hands-on workshop deals with slab and wheel surfaces, and the aesthetics of one of a kind form. His spirited, poetic approach and a lively slide presentation will make this a rewarding experience for participants at all levels. Demonstrations will focus on a variety of techniques with the emphasis on the sculptural challenges of abstracting vessels, maquettes, and exciting ways to handling clay that will help students immensely. Peter’s work is in many public and private collections worldwide.
